In 1997, Taiprora partook in a collaboration with the Department of Pure and Applied Mathematics and Department of Computer Science at the University of L'Aquila with the aim of exchanging know-how while developing the scientific laboratory O.I.L., dedicated to analysis and development of advanced software systems and DSS for optimization of decision-making and production processes.

The collaboration between O.I.L. and Taiprora lead to an impressive portfolio of projects particularly in the optimization of waste material, and the supervision and control of flexible manufacturing cells.

Currently, O.I.L and Taiprora collaborate in the study of algorithms for the scheduling of manufacturing processes, supply and order management, and logistics of distribution.
