SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition) means supervision and data acquisition software that permits system monitoring and management.
In this case, the real challenge revolves around the HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces).
These must result from simple reading and use of the tool by the operator, so as to permit rapid understanding of the machine/system situation and thus rapid activity.

Designing and developing a WincCC software
For a well-known pharmaceutical corporate we have developed a software to interface a PC client with a WinCC supervisor and a MES System for the management and execution of ODL (work orders) defined on an ERP (SAP).

The software intervenes, within the production process, immediately after the packing of the sleeves, assisting the operator in the procedure for assigning the sleeve in the container, and displaying the data expressed in graphs of temperatures and values inside the same containers during the vulcanisation process.

For a multinational in the automotive / aluminium die-casting sector, Taiprora has created an application to supervise the core-making department, storing in its database a lot of information on production and the working methods of the machine operators. Automatic assembly line process supervision
The Power Line Supervision System is designed to detect and log the alarms signals generated by the various machines installed along the automatic line. The source, start date, duration and other information of each signal are recorded, in order to allow the shift maintenance operator to identify what is happening more quickly and any corrective actions to implement, provide the possibility of running retrospective reports and generating statistics on alarms and machine operating time/downtime.

Supervision and control of a melting furnace for aluminium alloys
Taiprora has created a Foundry Department supervision system for a multinational in the extruded aluminium sector. The Client needed to be able to monitor the entire casting production process, monitoring the machines involved in production to acquire a series of information such as the production times and consumption. The data acquired was grouped into specific reports permitting the production of global analyses on the progress of production. What’s more, the data can be exported in Excel format to carry out further calculations, studies or corporate presentations.

The Central Unit manages the three kilns (drying kiln, expansion kiln, cooling kiln) of line 2 and controls all the users that operate the line of kiln 2 such as: the end exhauster, the lubricators, the fans, the valves and the excess product recovery system. Moreover, through two modules with sixteen analogue inputs, it detects all the kiln area pressure and temperature measurements and, via a module with eight analogue outputs, regulates the speed of the motors featuring inverters (cooling kiln, expansion kiln, drying kiln, end exhauster, kiln feeding belt 1, kiln feeding belt 2 and excess product cooling pump).
