Our experience in the automotive sector results from many years of collaboration with market leaders. Many projects have been developed in this sector, also abroad, with particular reference to design 4.0, robotics and motion control, vision systems and special machines. Moreover, there have been various projects on production software (MES, Scada, etc.).
For several years we have been working closely with the Engineering departments of leading companies in the "rubber" sector to deal with the challenges that the international context poses daily for our clients.

Artificial vision system for real-time quality control by a collaborative robot
Within an automotive seat production line, a fully automated real-time quality control system was introduced through a collaborative robot system equipped by sensors and cameras, with consequent zeroing of production waste.
For a well-known multinational automotive company we have created a Traceability System for one production line that includes 9 processing stations (welding, tightness control, screwing, vision and pick to light).

Automotive 4.0 : timing belts measurement machine.
For an enterprise in the rubber segment, note we have designed and made a timing belts measurement machine. The machine, which consists of 2 axes, simulates the engine's performance, while laser sensors measure all the product characteristics, both dimensional (thickness, height and width of the toe and tooth height), as well as dynamics (derives from the belts on the pulleys and belt slackening). The added value of this system is its software, capable of assessing the angles of the rubber that normally points to signal acquisition problems due to the intrinsic characteristics of the rubber itself, as deformation and reflection.
Collaborative Smartbench: Automotive Assembly Workstation
For an enterprise in Automotive area, we have designed and built an Industry 4.0 project, named “Collaborative Smartbench”: a series of assembling benches for the Porsche Cayenne interior panels. A step towards innovation is the use of a Universal Robots’ collaborative robot: thanks to its compactness and axle handling at almost 360° it is ideal for this application. This choice has allowed us to offer our customer higher quality and an effective reduction in security costs.
Smartbench: Automotive Assembly Workstation
The project, called Smartbench, was carried out for a multinational leader in the automotive component sector. It consisted in the complete creation, for various European plants of the group, of semi-automatic door panel assembly benches, featuring assembly control and objectivation systems and supervision software on operator panel.
Ultrasonic Welding Machine: Robotised ultrasonic welding system
The system, created for a multinational leader in the automotive component sector, consists of a complete automated welding line, using ultrasounds, for parts on panels made of plastic for automotive doors. The robots and structure for welding are equipped with ultrasonic sonotrodes.
Automotive belt laser measurement bench with measurement management software
In various plants of a leading multinational automotive component producer, Taiprora produced laser belt measurement benches and at the same time created software to manage the laser measurements integrated with the production management system.
Rubber vulcanisation stage control and monitoring software
The software intervenes, within the production process, immediately after the packing of the sleeves, assisting the operator in the procedure for assigning the sleeve in the container, and displaying the data expressed in graphs of temperatures and values inside the same containers during the vulcanisation process.
Software for monitoring the progress of production with control of the rubber sleeve packing machines
TaiP!Confezionatrice can provide effective assistance in controlling and managing the sleeves requested every day from the Production Operators. All activities will be monitored through a control network that puts the Operator’s work computer in communication both with the PLC of the packing machine and with the Company IT System, permitting constant availability of the detailed information not only of the belts and settings of the recipes to put into production, but also of the batches used, permitting complete traceability of all activities and all materials.
Revamping automotive door panel welding line
The project, carried out for a multinational leader in the automotive component sector, consisted of adapting the line for updated door panel model requirements, mainly by remaking the automation and control system and creating a new panel pallet locking system.
Industrial maintenance management software
Maintenance management software permits management of system and machinery maintenance activity, organisation of routine and non-routine scheduled maintenance, up to urgent interventions due to an unexpected fault. The maintenance management software features standard and configurable reports (summary statistics tables) for assessing maintenance activity (each report can be printed onto paper or exported in Microsoft Excel format, for any further analysis by the user).

The main functions of the system are: - monitoring of the progress of production - data acquisition for quality control - management of traceability for finished products - anti-error management
Artificial three-dimensional vision and measurement of the characteristics of the rubberised fabric in tyre production
The Client needed to be able to detect the dimensional characteristics of the fabric on the line and of the components applied to it, with the aim of: increasing the precision with which the finished product is made; reducing errors in position/width of the materials applied to the fabric; having a quality control tool that allows the production process to be guaranteed. 3D vision systems are understood as all tools capable of acquiring the spatial coordinates of a given region or of the surface of an object, automatically, systematically and at high speed. The basic principle on which the different types of laser are based is called “laser triangulation”.
Automotive head production department supervisor.
For a multinational in the automotive / aluminium die-casting sector, Taiprora has created an application to supervise the core-making department, storing in its database a lot of information on production and the working methods of the machine operators. The managers will thus have an effective tool that allows them to verify the efficiency of the machines, of the operators and, in general, the progress of productivity over time.
Automatic assembly line process supervision
The Power Line Supervision System is designed to detect and log the alarms signals generated by the various machines installed along the automatic line. The source, start date, duration and other information of each signal are recorded, in order to allow the shift maintenance operator to identify what is happening more quickly and any corrective actions to implement, provide the possibility of running retrospective reports and generating statistics on alarms and machine operating time/downtime.
Design and production of automatic stations for loading and unloading graphite components onto/from presses with ABB anthropomorphic arm
For a multinational in the graphite part production sector, various picking systems have been created with ABB anthropomorphic arm suitable for positioning (after receiving from a vibratory bowl) two formats of graphite washers, individualised, from 2 separate lines, in their pallets.
