We offer a complete series of services in material handling (transport, storage and control) ensuring complete system integration, also thanks to partnerships with the main global operators and developers (Kollmorgen, for example, of whom we are the official Italian partner).
The projects that we have developed include some examples of pallet handling, via rollers, shuttles and shape checking, extending to more complex systems such as automated warehouses that employ stacker cranes, as well as AGVs, LGVs or AMRs.
Among the services we offer are:
- modifications/adaptations to automated warehouses
- systems for automatic handling/transport: transporters, lifts, systems for rotation, sorting, preparation, palletisation
- systems with anthropomorphic robots,SCARAs, on portal, for handling, palletisation, special applications
- AGVs, LGVs and AMRs: material transport vehicles capable of moving autonomously. The latest development in this field is natural vision navigation systems.
Furthermore:
- design and construction, mechanical, electrical and electronic
- installation and commissioning of turnkey system
- technical assistance.
Some of our Automatic Material Handling success stories:
Logistics Solutions with Automatic and Laser Guided Vehicles
The new LGV's Taiprora is the result of over 15 years of experience with AGVs throughout Europe. It is a made in Italy product, completely customizable. Innovate your production with Taiprora's AGVs
Vegetable washing and calibration machine
For a food corporate, we have designed and built a machine for washing vegetables.
LGV Fleet Taiprora
For a pharmaceutical corporate we have designed, built and installed a fleet of 3 LGVs within the packaging department.
WMS for the Food Industry (Beverage)
Together with our partner who manufactures automatic warehouses all over the world, we have implemented a complete WMS for a corporate working in the beverage sector. The WMS interfaces with company information systems and makes the warehouse completely automated and independent of human presence.
Palletizing and Pallet Handling System in the packaging department
For a multinational pharmaceutical company, we have created a palletizing system, physically connected to both the production and the warehouse, through a system of about 40 meters of roller conveyors.
Integrated automatic granty palletizer
For a global enterprise operating in beauty & personal care, we designed and built a 3-axis Cartesian automatic palletizing system (granty palletizer): 26 m long Y axis, 6,100 m long X axis, 3.20 m long axis. Integration with production, LGV, wrapper and automatic warehouse.
Revamping AGV shuttles and creating navigation system
The purpose of the activity was to revamp 2 × AGVs in the solids department of a well-known pharmaceutical multinational, making the following changes: - Replacement of the control electronics with standard NDC8 products from Kollmorgen; - Replacement of the navigation system with standard NDC8 products from Kollmorgen; - Modified fork c/c distance mechanics in order to be able to move the following Loading Units (LUs); - AGV software development and relative NDC navigation system.
Palletising and handling system in packing department
The CHC department Palletising and Pallet Handling System, produced entirely by Taiprora (integration of mechanical components, electrical systems and software) for a pharmaceutical multinational, comprises the following subsystems: - Lifts; - Handling 1 (feeding of boxes to the palletising area); - MAL (in case of waste boxes, the system permits their ejection through the dedicated returns rollers towards the MAL area); - Handling 2 (receives the boxes from the rollers managed by Handling 1 and permits palletising via Robot); - ABB IRC5 palletising robot; - Wrapping machine
Taiprora LGV (laser guided vehicle): turnkey automated vehicle
AGVs are material transport vehicles capable of moving autonomously. The operations that can be carried out by an AGV are the same as those assigned to a forklift with an operator on board. In particular, laser-guided AGVs (LGVs - Laser Guided Vehicles) are free to move at high speeds because they are not obliged to follow structures fixed to the floor and every route variation can be made simply through software via Wi-Fi communication. Taiprora produces LGVs, for transporting raw materials, finished products and consumables to and from production lines, palletising stations, winding systems, loading and/or unloading bays, automated and manual warehouses, etc.
Automation in palletising system
The aim of the project was to make all phases concerning the palletising cycle automatic, performed using palletiser robots, at the end of the packing lines; The power and logic electrical panels, PLC hardware, supervision PCs, drives and motors of the palletising robots were replaced. The supervision of the palletising system was also integrated with the SAP and Propack Data systems.
Revamping operation on panel for PC and PLC and System Supervision and Control Interface
Structural problems due to high weight for storage; automatic stacker centring at location functionality was added. System based on Allen Bradley PLC and Ethernet networks with state-of-the-art Supervision Systems...
Revamping of automated warehouse stacker cranes
The Stacker Overview has the aim of displaying the users, sensors, logic statuses and information on the stacker control systems. In detail, the information displayed is as follows: stacker mode: ON-LINE/OFF-LINE with MHCS; ON-LINE/OFF-LINE with WinCC; stacker sensor status; current stacker position; current mission data; pallets on stacker data.
Revamping of automated confectionery warehouse
Main operations: Addition of H1 network card (CP 1431 TCP) to Siemens S5 Master PLC; Removal of Siemens S7 input Shuttle PLC; Addition of AB input Shuttle PLC with communication with the Siemens S5 master via Wi-Fi Ethernet with RF remote control hidden in the area outside the shuttle; Addition of AB input Roller PLC with communication with the Siemens S5 master via Ethernet;
