Hyper-amortization 4.0 and 5.0: tax opportunities for 2026 investments

The 2026 Budget Law reintroduced and updated the hyper-amortization mechanism to support investments in innovative capital goods, with the aim of encourage digital transformation, automation of production processes and improvement of industrial quality and sustainability.

In this context, our provision of Mobile Robots like AGV, LGV, AMR and software like WMS and MES it outlines itself as fully meeting the requirements envisaged for investments in capital goods 4.0 and 5.0, offering companies a concrete tax advantage combined with advanced technological solutions.

Time frame of the facilitable investments
The relief applies to investments made from 1 January 2026 to 30 September 2028, provided that they concern new capital goods that comply with technical requirements and interconnection provided for by the legislation.

• Capital goods new materials (referred to in Annex IV to the 2026 Budget Law);
• Capital goods intangible (referred to in Annex V to the 2026 Budget Law).

• Instrumental goods whose operation is controlled by computerized systems and/or managed by sensors and drive systems, suitable for integration into digitized production processes;
• Quality and sustainability assurance systems, oriented towards monitoring, process control and operational efficiency.

Facilitation mechanism
Hyper-amortization consists of an increase in the cost of purchasing the assets that can be facilitated, which allows for an increase in the tax-deductible annual depreciation rate (or annual leasing fee).
The surcharge is differentiated based on the investment amount, up to 180% for investments up to 2.5 million euros.

To give a practical example:
Suppose an investment in instrumental asset 4.0 of the amount of €1,000,000.

The measure would allow for an hyper-amortization of 180%, so at the balance sheet level we will have a civil accounting deduction equal to €1,000,000, but at the tax level the company will be able to deduct €1,800,000 in the 6 years of amortization.
Considering the annual impact of the IRES of 24%, on the €800,000 largest tax deduction, the company will be able to obtain a benefit of €192,000 (diluted over the 6 years of amortization).

The first stone has been laid for the new DIGITAL HUB in Abruzzo.

The initiative marks a highly symbolic moment for the sponsoring companies, which, led by the Italia Technology Alliance holding company, confirm their commitment to strengthening their presence in the region and contributing to the technological and employment development of Abruzzo, with a specific focus on autonomous intralogistics.

The DIGITAL HUB, with its 1,500m2 production facility and an additional 1,400m2 of offices, is designed as a cutting-edge infrastructure that will host, under the Smartlogistix brand, the synthesis of Taiprora's expertise in autonomous intralogistics, i.e. all the management and movement of goods within a company carried out by automatic systems, such as robots and autonomous vehicles.

In the past weeks we have completed the installation of a fleet of LGVs for the transpost of bins in a well-known multinational in the pharmaceutical sector.

Our team was able to complete the project without generating production stops.

Taiprora for Colletta Alimentare 2019

Also this year we participated in the great Colletta Alimentare initiative organized by the Food Bank. A team of over 30 people also made up of friends and family who have made this day even more special. Together we collected 743 kg of food to donate to those in need.

Speaker grill bending machine

We have designed and built an assembly station for loudspeaker components in the automotive field. The system is equipped with a traceability software and guides the operator in every activity. The machine has a high level of precision (tenth of a millimeter) and high speed (about 600 pcs / h).

Integrated automatic Gantry Palletizer

For a global enterprise operating in beauty & personal care, we designed and built a 3-axis Cartesian automatic palletizing system (Gantry Palletizer): 26 m long Y axis, 6,100 m long X axis, 3.20 m long axis. This gantry palletizer is fully integrated with production area, LGV, wrapping machine and automatic warehouse.

Artificial vision system for real-time quality control by a collaborative robot

Within an automotive seat production line, a fully automated real-time quality control system was introduced through a collaborative robot system equipped by sensors and cameras, with consequent zeroing of production waste.

Taiprora participated in the Automotive Tech Summit 2019, the international conference of the sector which was attended by the most important world players, held in Wroclaw (Poland) last May 21st.

AGV AGILE Comau enter the Taiprora fleet!

Thanks to the partnership with COMAU, world leader in the supply of advanced products and systems for industrial automation, the new version of Agile 1500, AGV COMAU with lithium battery is now available.

Tradition embraces innovation: Industry 4.0 at the service of Italian excellence

Il Sole 24 Ore publishes an article about our realization in the field of Industry 4.0 for Rustichella D'Abruzzo, an Abruzzo pasta factory that exports over 85% of its production to over 70 countries.

This project wanted to combine the technological innovation of Taiprora and the productive excellence of Rustichella: its result will be a reduction in production costs and an increase in production up to 35%.

Laser Measuring Machine for Timing Belts

For a leading enterprise in rubber / automotive spare parts we have designed and built a timing belts testing machine.
The machine simulates the engine's performance, thanks to a set of laser sensors, measures all the features of the timing belt: both dimensional (thickness, height and width of the toe and tooth height) as well as dynamic ones (belts on the pulleys and belt slackening).
The machine is fully integrated with the MES business system, enabling full product traceability thanks to the use of Data Matrix and Barcode readers.

Omron and Taiprora working together on the challenges of Industry 4.0

We were able to share the trajectories of development linked to Industry 4.0 with Omron, one of our strategic technical partners, in our office in San Giovanni Teatino.

The result of being able to dialogue with the Japanese delegation and European and Italian managers was another step towards ever greater collaboration. The common goal is to provide our clients with the most innovative solutions on the market and to give our partners in the East market feedback regarding the technologies most in demand.

The global challenge of Industry 4.0 also involves India

Our CEO Francesco Alfieri was a speaker in the 'Tech-Know-Edge - Connecting the World' seminar organised by the Indian Government and the CII - Confederation of Indian Industry on 25 June 2016 in Bhopal (India) (news from the Indian newspaper The Pioneer).
The event was the occasion for discussing various development scenarios for the country through Industry 4.0, the local business community and its relationships with clients, partners and foreign investors.

Alfieri's reflections on this experience: 'I encountered considerable interest in the issue of Industry 4.0 and there were various requests for more details on technical issues from companies and appointed institutions. I believe there is a great deal of work for us Europeans in this country, above all in the role of enablers for innovative technologies. Italian industry - still seen as a symbol of high technology and elegance - deserves a special mention. We will respond to these challenges by working even more closely alongside our Indian office in Pune.'

Taiprora took part in IMTEX 2016, held in Bangalore (India) from 21 to 26 January 2016.
IMTEX is one of the most important Asian industrial automation exhibitions. The staff of our Indian division wished to attend the event to illustrate the Tai Group's industrial automation, robotics and mechatronics, process optimisation and system integration solutions to visitors and investors.
