The Future Digital Factory: the factory of the future seen by children

Our project The Future Digital Factory is inspired by this sentence: the factory of the future seen by children, a creative project that we developed with our children and the fifth grade classes of the Domus Mariae primary school in Pescara.

Together with them, we imagined the technological evolutions that will characterize the factory of the future.

The first step was to introduce our "little innovators" to the world of industrial production and to the currently dominant technologies. We found a very fertile environment, capable of "building meaning" and responding proactively to the stimuli proposed.

From the students, absolute protagonists, the first ideas have already flown in a whirlwind of creativity and enthusiasm for the participation in the construction of a technological future that will see them protagonists.

The second step was to invite them to graphically represent the ideas developed in order to plan the future of the digital factory together with us.Here too, participation was very large to the point of deciding to publish all the contributions received on our site and to publish the most significant drawings on our 2023 calendar. In addition, we decided to reward the drawings that most impressed us in the 3 categories: LGV, Robots and PCs of the future.

We thank the Domus Mariae Institute of Pescara, the director Valentina Pistola, the teachers Maria Letizia Fanesi and Linda Baldacci and all the pupils with whom we started this wonderful journey.
