WMS Module

The WMS (Warehouse Management System) is the "brain" of the entire warehouse system, that is the computer system dedicated to the "physical" management of the warehouse.

Its main objective is to control the movements and storage of materials in the warehouse and process transitions (including shipping, receiving, reordering and collection).

The WMS module is able to give fundamental support to the user to optimize the use of resources within the warehouse (e.g. minimum routes calculation, the classification of goods according to rotation (Activity Based Costing ) or the definition of different commissioning strategies).

WCS Module

If the WMS is the "brain" of the warehouse, the Warehouse Control System (WCS) module is the "backbone" of the plant.

The WCS modulke is the integrated control system that works in real-time and allows the flow of goods.
It deals with:

Driving and controlling all handling equipments.
Collect data in real-time..
Schedule the operations it receives from the WMS.
Monitor operations and sending notifications by email, SMS or other systems.

Store Module

This module store all system data. These data that will be the basis of additional processes as reporting, traceability, etc...

Gateway Module

The Gateway Module communicate with the company MES and ERP systems.
Through this interfacing, protocols are created that can allow data exchange such as:

All data relating to the UDC (code, lot, size, etc...) in the picking phase
The destination of the UDC
List of UDC handling
Alignment of the UDC location/data maps with the ERP

iConnect Module

The iConnect module allows integration with different field systems on the two directives of the Asset-intensive operations (high automation) and Labor-intensive operations (low automation).
The field systems that can be integrated are:

PLC / DCS
Stacker Cranes, Shuttles, Movers, Conveyors, Palletizers
AGV, LGV, AMR
Mobile Computing
Forklifts with vehicle terminals
Manual/Paper/Excel-based Operations

Palletising and handling system in packing department

Automation in palletising system

The aim of the project was to make all phases concerning the palletising cycle automatic, performed using palletiser robots, at the end of the packing lines; The power and logic electrical panels, PLC hardware, supervision PCs, drives and motors of the palletising robots were replaced. The supervision of the palletising system was also integrated with the SAP and Propack Data systems.
